The Power of Memory...

It is always thought by mommy that a small toddler has quite short memory and that is why parents like to use "bluffing" trick to comfort the child.

Recently this perception has proof mommy wrong, Eeanne has frequently reminded mommy on promises that mommy didn't fulfilled and this really makes mommy wonder and surprise on Eeanne's memory power(really can't underestimate it and no more trick can be applied:o)

Last few days, Eeanne kept complaining itch on her anus, this suddenly alert mommy that it is past due for the deworming. And many times infront of Eeanne mommy said that "ok mommy will buy the deworm medicine for you" but it was always been slipped out of mommy's mind.
And one morning before leaving to work, mommy reminded myself by saying again aloud that mommy will get the deworm medicine that day after work. In the evening, when mommy came home, the first thing Eeanne said was "mommy where is the deworm?' OH.....mommy forgot again!!! and so surprise Eeanne has been putting this in her little brain for the whole day. So mommy apologised and asked for Eeanne's help to call mommy the next day at work to remind mommy.

Off track to last 2 months, Mommy had been teaching Eeanne to memorize mommy's handphone # and gave her the training on emergency lost and alert action, who to get for help and so on. During that time, Eeanne was not totally paying full attention on mommy's number and when tested her, sometimes bingo but sometimes she just simply murmured a number.

So come back to that next working day, mommy got a miss call from home...it was from Eeanne!! (found out from mama). Eeanne can remember well on mommy's no. and even made her own call to mommy!! Amazing for a 3 y.o girl!!!
And later on finally mommy picked up the call, and Eeanne was calling to remind mommy to buy deworm medicine and poster color (which mommy has promised to buy few days ago)!!

Age is catching up, mommy's memory is deteriorating and tends to be very forgetful on things on work, home or even on Eeanne. Now mommy is having a little cute mobile "reminder" to put mommy back on track ;-)
