Eeanne's RM20 worth piece of art..

When Eeanne first came to this Da Vinci Art centre, she was so eagerly wanted to join the kids, so mommy checked out with the teacher to enroll Eeanne in the junior coloring class. In fact, the younger child the school take in is usually 3 y.o., but after the accessment from the teacher based on Eeanne's grip on the crayon, Eeanne became the youngest in the junior class now at 2yr 5mth old.

Registration fee = RM 30
Monthly fee (every 4 sessions) = RM 80
Each session is 1 hour

After the first class, mommy realises that it is really too early for Eeanne's age to join the class. It is the time span that matter, Eeanne hardly able to sit quietly even for only 2min!!! Teacher said it is normal for a 2yr kid.

In Da Vinci, kids are trained to use crayon and water color, there is no color pencil used. All this while mommy has switched Eeanne from using crayon to color pencil for reason of cleanliness, but since then, mommy found that Eeanne has lost her interest in coloring. Now mommy understands why.....

Crayon has a more striking color which attract all kids, and it is easy to fill up the whity space of a picture with crayon rather than a color pencil. With the time span a kid can spend, the lighter and less striking tone of color pencil and longer times needed to finish one drawing will really make them give up the whole exercise. From that day onwards, mommy took out all the crayon which long kept in the cabinet to replace the Eeanne's color pencils. Mommy just need to be more hardworking in cleaning Eeanne's hands and table ;-0

Eeanne learnt drawing flowers in her first lesson, she was distracted by the new environment, kept looking to other kids, standing up to wash her hands now and then, and she kept running towads mommy(sitting at the waiting chair at the corner) for every one flower she drew:-/. Eeanne went to the extend to disturb other kids by playing with their water color, trying to create conversation with them and even dip her crayon on other kid's water cup.....my...my....

Not even pass half an hour, Eeanne already lost her attention. When teacher talked and show the coloring to Eeanne, she put one hand supportting on her left cheek lazily resting on the table!! Surprisingly Eeanne is not scared to the stranger teacher which mommy has miss judged her, mommy thought it will be easier for stranger to teach Eeanne rather than mommy myself which Eeanne will not pay attention at all, but mommy is WRONG.....When teacher called Eeanne to sit at her place, Eeanne dared to reply:"wait ar....I come back later"....faint!

At initial stage, still ok huh...

In the drawing class, it is so pleased to see Eeanne joining in the class

Starting to lose patience...

See this piece of RM 20 worth art work...
Haha..now mommy knows why there are so many kids education centre out there...all the parents are paying more for the teacher's patience rather than skills and knowledge....;-)

Mommy's book light

Ever since mommy practise the bedtime story telling to Eeanne, it has becomes a routine duty for mommy now. Recently Eeanne insisted on the same story of "Little bears who suck their fingers" almost every night, and after the story telling, Eeanne will just rolled on her bed with mommy must sleep at her side waiting for Eeanne to fall asleep. This sometimes can take more than an hour and mommy really lost all the privacy and personal time for own leisure reading.

Now with the book light that daddy bought, mommy able to do own reading after the story telling with Eeanne. With the almost an hour time with Eeanne rolling by mommy's side, this book light has indeed makes mommy's time more fruitful.

Yeh...mommy has finally finished reading the book of "The Last Lecture" with the help of this book light.
Front and Back cover
wah....see the wonder of this book light...
This book light has encourage mommy to read more...now mommy has a long awaited book list to accomplish and yet able to accompany Eeanne to sleep...:-)
Eeanne...mommy highly recommend this book "The Last Lecture" to you. Mommy presents you as a gift, make sure you read huh.....

Unexpected plan...

It was mommy's idea to go picnic on Hari Raya Haji public holiday (friday 27/11/09) at Shah Alam Taman Pertanian Cahaya. We invited mama, yeye, suk suk and sam sam's whole family. This will be our 2nd family picnic since the New Year picnic at Lake Garden (Lake Garden Picnic).

Without doing any survey on that place which is new to everyone, we eagerly prepared on the picnic stuffs and reached the park at early morning 8.30a.m. On the entrance, we read the notice:

"Dimaklumkan bahawa Taman Pertanian Cahaya akan dibuka pada pukul 11a.m. pada 27hb November 2009"

oh..oh...besides our group, there were so many others waiting at the entrance gate(this park usually open at 8.30a.m.). What a plan.....:-/

Ended up we found a place to have our prepared breakfast...Awefully that place has lots of mini "blood dracula", mommy became the main blood donor to these creatures of nature and Eeanne had contributed 3 spots too...:-( . Suk suk can't bear anymore and worry of denggi, he drove out to buy some insect repellents.

At the entrance of Shah Alam Tmn Pertanian Cahaya, the place we exposed ourselves to the risk of denggi

Immediately after the breakfast, we decided to change our plan and en-route to FRIM at Sg. Buluh...what a fun.....

Unexpected experience..., our car were stopped at the FRIM entrance and was requested to pay RM7 entrance fee without any receipt. Strangely 2 of our other family cars are not required to pay any single cents, seems like all know the entrance should be free!! Wah...what a daring guard. Of course daddy will not easily let go this kind of incident, after dropped us at the waterfall side, he drove back to get the justice. Guess what he got....daddy was given a invalid receipt and was told there is a notice mention on the entrace fee. Until today, we still don't understand how is the control on this entrance fee???

Finally reached FRIM

Anyhow no regret...even though is an unexpected plan, the outcome is even more unexpectedly joyful....;-)

Eeanne's Zen

Last Saturday, mommy was cleaning up the cabinet to rearrange the old albums. Randomly mommy took out one old album on Bangkok trip with daddy, wah...the aging really reflects. Way back to year 2000, both of daddy and mommy look so young, fresh and lean.

When daddy took a look at the photo, he cried out loudly and unbelievably "wah....so thin, look at me now....my big tummy...."

Suddenly Eeanne stood up from the mat, walked towards daddy, holding daddy left hand and said out loud and very serious:

"NEVER MIND...DADDY....LET GO...."

:-/....;-/.... :-?

Mommy and daddy were stunned, looking at Eeanne.....wah...so zen.....
Bangkok trip photo in 2000...(mmm...youth is precious)

Early Christmas Shopping

When Eeanne was a baby of few months old to 1 y.o. plus, we used to shopped a lot from morning till night, Eeanne was very cooperative sitting on the stroller, enjoyed the shopping and slept whenever she was tired. It is amazed for most of the parents looking on what we did with Eeanne as most of the babies can't be so cooperative for such a long hours.

Recently since Eeanne 2 y.o., we seldom do that anymore, the reason are:
1) meal times will be always very difficult for her and took very long time
2) Eeanne prefers to walk by her own and running here and there(which can be very dangerous of getting her out of sight)
3) Eeanne will force herself to stay alert when she was actually very tired, she will start to talk nonsense and being very talkative, everything will be still manageable until we went back to the car to head home, Eeanne will start to feel very agitated in the car by crying and making daddy couldn't concentrate in driving.

Today we started again our full day shopping from morning to night for christmas gifts shopping for Eeanne at Garden Midvalley, it was really a very fruitful and exhausted day. Eeanne gets her Handy Manny Sticker book and Princess Water Coloring book, Mommy and daddy have our shopping list fullfilled too..:-)

Don't worry daddy, I will be very cooperative..

As usual, this lunch took ages waiting for Eeanne to chew...
I like this light fountain
Daddy I'm tired, please carry me...

Mommy feels so great that Eeanne likes to go to book shop, which is mommy and daddy's favourite place to go too. Eeanne can sit down with bundle of books with her while mommy and daddy could spend time on our own reading. See how Eeanne do her own reading....

Exploring new adventure places....

Almost every weekend we are looking for new places for Eeanne outing. Last Sunday (15-11-09), daddy brought us to the Water Front Desa Park City, mommy find this is really a good place for both kids and adults.

Here you can find the new concept of shopping malls with good mixture of tenants and good restaurants. Besides the shopping, you can enjoy the scenic lake view by the side and kids can play at the park where parents can jog along the jogging path. Mmmm...it is indeed a good place to recommend to all parents.

We will definitely come here again.:-)

"Thought" - the product of Mind

Last Sat, mommy and daddy attended a dharma talk by Bhante Aggacitta at SS3, during mommy's pregnancy (can't recall the month), mommy attended a talk by Bhante Aggacitta too at BGF, that was the first time Eeanne exposed to dharma talk inside mommy's womb.

Here is some insight that mommy would like to share with Eeanne, hopefully this will help you in your life when you have read this one day.

2 take home lessons from Bhante Aggacitta's talk:

1) Our thought is usually at either one of these 2 states: (1) Idle state (2) Productive state
Majority of the time, our thought is at Idle state, at this Idle state, our thought is either doing its assumption, imagination or false belief, which we called it not mindful.
So always watch your thought and bring it to Productive state, by practising this, eventually will lead us to a better quality of life.
The interpretation of quality of life = the way we react to our six senses.

2) Useful tool in making decision on almost everything: BAR Test
B - Benefit
A - Appropriate
R - Relavant / Realistic
Eg. When our thought is in Idle state, apply the BAR test, is the "thought" bring Benefit to what you are doing? Is it Appropriate to what you are doing now? and lastly is it Relavant? As long as there is a NO answer to either one of the questions, then stop on pursuing the "thought", bring it back to current Productive state.
This BAR test is useful even in daily life, practise it....

Digest this and try to practise it Eeanne....it will definitely help you in a way if not fully.

Cameron Highlands...Again....

It has been a yearly event to spend a weekend in Cameron Highlands for daddy and mommy, this year is Eeanne's 2nd time to C.H. Of course just one year apart, there are so much different development from Eeanne, this year she is:
- more talkative
- giving her own opinion
- eager to make decision on everything (movie to watch, left or right side of bed to sleep, place to go and even food to eat)
- more "tahn"(good in enjoying the leisure and soothing ambience)

"give me lou sun, curry fish head and fried rice"
"don't disturb me...i'm relaxing and planning my next stop"

"I like that mini water fountain behind me.."

"what a fresh morning air...give me 10 min of morning walk here.."

"mmm...pity on this rather run down playground"

"give me a YES!"

"give me a thumb up!"

"yeh..i didn't get the chance to play this slide last year..."

"I like this little chef, we are about the same height:-)"

"mmm...this menu price is quite reasonable"

"oh..daddy, it is raining, exactly like last year when we reach the Boh Tea Farm"

"don't hold my hand, I can go up by my own..."

"I'm not feeling cold mommy...can you take out my jacket"

"kakak...sini, ambil gambar with Eeanne..."

so "tahn"...

"daddy, count with me...one...two....three...."

"daddy, I want to come again next year...."

"mommy, the toilet smell is so strong here...let's go.."

"I like this sofa.."

"hmm...will recommend my friends to stay at this Pine Century Hotel...;-)

"please on my Christmas Barney DVD..."

"what a day..."

My Happy Family
