Gardening Fun

Since moving to our new house in 2008, mommy is into the hobby of gardening. There were so many abolished plans due to the limited size of greenish garden.

Before Eeanne turning 2yo, whenever mommy did gardening, Eeanne will sit on the swing quietly observed or just wandering around, stepping on the grass around mommy and having the lovely mommy-daughter chit-chatting.

Now...2 yrs 5 mths, Eeanne is actively participating whenever mommy wanted to do gardening. She had her own small flower pot, need mommy to pour soil into it, using her mini trowel pretending planting a flower. This has becomes one of our routine Sat or Sun activities and we enjoy it very much.

It is a good educational exercise too during the gardening activity with Eeanne, from here Eeanne learns simple concepts such as:

- plants need fertiliser just like Eeanne needs to eat
- plants need water just like Eeanne needs water too because of thirsty
- flowers blossom in different colors
- leaves come in many shapes and sizes
- there is a creature called "worms" that like to dig in the soil
- wearing glove during gardening so it doesn't dirty your hand
- plants need grooming by cutting the yellowish leaves just like Eeanne needs to cut hair and nail

Eeanne enjoys the most on watering the plants, the watering can is too heavy for her so now the watering spray has becomes her main duty on each gardening session. Mommy will use the water hose to water the plants while Eeanne will help to spray on the leaves. Everytime Eeanne will be very excited by saying:

- I am helping mommy to do gardening
- I am spraying the leaves
- I am watering this flower
(sometimes mommy really suprise hearing Eeanne using those action words of "ing")

But whenever mommy called for a stop, Eeanne will definitely said with her fierceful facial expression: "you don't kacau me ar..." :0

See how helpful I am :-)

These flowers need to drink more water

This leaves must have lack of water, growing so slow

The little flowers have blossom!!
