Raya in Melaka

As usual, whenever there is a long weekend holiday, mommy will try to grab the chance to go back M'cca. Sometimes as we aged, the time spent with family member is getting scarce especially when we set up our own family. Occasionally mommy will think of young old days with just kong kong, bobo, mommy and chiu chiu, 4 of us went out just for window shopping and supper during our school time. Now it is really hard to arrange the same off day with chiu chiu(settle down in JB), the time for 4 of us to get togetherness is really almost impossible. Of course to look at the bright side, instead of 4 now the family members expand, yet to have 3 families get together is also an big planning issue.

So this round, it is just us spending time with bobo kong kong as chiu chiu had made his home trip just recently last month.

M'cca has really change a lot on each our home trip. Food will be mommy's main focus activity every time we go down...satay celup, po piah, fried oyster, wan tan mee, curry mee etc....yummy yummy. But this trip, we only got time to enjoy the wan tan mee, really don't understand where we spent the rest of the time, the time just slip through our fingers without really achieving a tangible purpose, of course the intangible quality time spent objective was met.

Mommy hopes that we can make M'cca trip as often as possible, to lead by example rather than just verbal moral teaching, one day mommy will hope for Eeanne's frequent visit to daddy mommy from her own working/family life.

Eeanne....take note of this personal value of filial piety, while children are thinking on how much financial support they may provide for their parents, parents are thinking on when their children are free to go home for a warm meal.

Hi, sorry for the late reply! I'm currently having my vacation in Singapore and only get to access internet when I get back to Hotel.:)

Answer to your question:

1.My girl is with Harmony Montessori in Puncak Jalil(about 15km from Puchong), you may look for other Montessori near your place right here:
http://www.preschoolmalaysia.com/preschool-kindergarten-directory-in-malaysia/montessori/

2. Is Montessori good? It depends on what you look for your kid. Montessori education develops children according to their on pace wholesomely. It emphasizes on nurturing their heart, mind and souls, which they alway learn from the environment and world is their classroom. However Montessori were slack in academic approach like other type of playschool, since the kids are only learn by playing at school. Anyway, I personally believe if a kid had a strong fundation and good attitude, she won't have any problem with her study in her future.

3. When I planned to enrol my girl into school. I look around places that close to my house and give them a call to book time before paying a visit with my girl. You probably have to go through a few kindie before make your decision. I used to check out the environment(safety and cleanliness), teacher and children ratio(lesser is better), perferably not more then 8 children with 1 teacher, their teaching material and most important whether my girl likes the place.:)

Take your time and wish you luck!
p/s: I like your saying, "while children are thinking on how much financial support they may provide for their parents, parents are thinking on when their children are free to go home for a warm meal.";)

Have a nice day!

Hi Alice, really thanks for your advice, I really need to spend some times in doing the research on kindie around my area.
I have heard lots of good comments on Montessori but i believe sometimes it depends on the teachers at that particular school. Since the Montessori is just a walking distance from my house, most probably I will enroll Eeanne to study there, just need to check out on the teachers there and also as per your advice of the number of students in a class.
Thanks a million.:-)

Btw, enjoy your holidays in S'pore...

My Happy Family
