Malaysia Day!

16th Sept is declared as the Malaysia Day, an additional public holiday started in 2010.

A week before we had been planning for a one whole day outing adventure together with Eeanne. So the plans were...morning picnic(no destiny planned), movie in the cinema, swimming and back home for early rest.

Until this morning, as everyone couldn't make it to wake up early for picnic, our plan was screwed up. Thus mommy suggested a "unplanned plan" for today's activity..:-) and daddy likes that idea too, so we decided to go with the flow, no time bound, no rush and just enjoy any activity and any program with mindfulness on every moment.

So the journey began at 11.15am, heading to Bangsar's Noble House restaurant for Dim Sum. And we really took our own time, after the "breakfast+lunch", we shopped at the toy shops in the mall....wau..mommy finds that the educational toys there are really so different from the conventional stores and all are so tempting, but reflected back on how plenty of toys that Eeanne currently possesses, the idea of spending was immediately switched off.

After the window shopping, we "plan" to visit the Bird Park(which has been long delayed since the last year SAR season). Eeanne was anticipating for a park but had no idea on what kind of park we are planning to go. On the way there, daddy just embraced the moving with the flow mood and detoured into Carcosa Sri Negara boutique coffee house and we spent some times visiting the place. It is indeed a very nice place and reminded mommy daddy on the resemblance to The Smoke House in Cameron Highlands, except the cooling weather.

But when we entered into the Bird Park compound, suddenly mommy thought of showing Eeanne a rather more interesting place, since Eeanne is so fancy about the Buzz Light Year in Toy Story movie, so we changed our plan to National Planetarium! We made it for the 3pm space show and Eeanne was amazed by the real 3D visual, even kakak was so fascinated by the screen. After around 20min show, Eeanne started to felt impatience and kept asking where is the Buzz Light Year, and even requested to go out from the room:-/ Anyhow, mommy managed to distract her attention to finish the last 10min show. Perhaps Eeanne might be feeling giddy on the 3D effect which mommy and daddy felt the same too.

So we spent almost an hour inside the planetarium and Eeanne was enjoying herself especially on "driving" the spaceship! After all mommy thinks this place is truly a good choice for kids to spend a holiday rather than just the complex shopping.

Next instead of going swimming, Eeanne kept calling for going to park, so we headed to KLCC park. Wau...this was the first time for mommy to really ventured into KLCC park. Few years back, mommy daddy only strolled up to the bridge path, but today we went into the swimming pool and playground area, it was huge and entertaining! So we completed our mission of park, swimming(walked in the pool) and playground(3 in 1) here..haha...

Of course all the way to be at KLCC, we will never missed the Kinokuniya bookshop which is mommy and daddy's favourite place, and now become Eeanne's too....Here mommy had unexpected outcome as mommy found my favourite books!

We had our unplanned dinner at famous Imbi Road "Yong Tau Fu" and Eeanne was really exhausted by now. It took less than a minute for Eeanne to doze off once we entered into the car heading home.

To wrap up for the day, it was indeed a joyful stress free unplanned trip today compared to our usual planned outings. Instead of picnic, we had Dim Sum, instead of cinema movie, we had 3D space show, instead of going swimming, we had water fun at KLCC park, then we had the bonus of playing at playground and reading at Kinokuniya....What a day!
Sometimes by focusing on what we want to do(rather than plan to do) and follow your heart, the outcome of free flow adventure can be so fruitful yet mentally and physically relaxing :-)

Eee...this is the toilet bowl used by the astronaut! Do you know...in space, urine is recycled for drinking and breathe!
Urine flows down through a pipe to a container before it was treated with acid and filtered. Later it will turn into steam then condenses into water, then it is now ready for drinking again, again and again!! ye..ak!

wau..daddy is setting the program and Eeanne is enjoying the auto-pilot...hehe

You are right...sometimes plan too much...there is expectation...and sometimes expectations lead to disappointment. Go with flow and be spontaneous is more memorable and exciting.
Planetarium must pay entrance fee???
KLCC park looks nice. Always wanted to go there but too far.

The planetarium entrance is very reasonable including the space show. There are different shows on screen at different hour and charges. The one we went is RM3/adult and RM2/kid, the other show i noticed it charges higher(with longer duration) charge RM6/adult.

Yeah KLCC park is really nice, that was my first time there too.

My Happy Family
