What Did Eeanne Do In Daycare?

So during mommy's 2 days off, mommy spent time on and off visiting Eeanne in daycare and here are what mommy found....

After the class at 12noon, all kids took their turn to be bathed. Later only mommy realised from Eeanne that 3-4 kids went into the bathroom waiting for their turn to be bathed inside the shower screen, and the bathroom door is left open all the time. This really makes Eeanne not comfortable and she has been crying and demanding don't want to take shower at school, now mommy understand the reason behind.

Then all kids went for their lunch on their own, again our all time long pampered Eeanne are not used to eat by her own is always the last to finish her meal, and all the time showing her bad habit "vomit" sound which scared all the teachers. And then Eeanne has always been very picky on her food which now she has to eat everything that teacher provided.

After the lunch, all kids will rush to play with the school edu materials except Eeanne, she has no interest on those games boards and will stayed alone at the library corner to read books on her own...so 可怜...

Then all will go for their short nap. With mommy around, Eeanne insisted mommy to bring her upstair to sleep with her, so mommy stayed back a while to observe how all the kids able to sleep in such a big group.

So all have around 12 kids in the master bedroom, while sitting beside Eeanne, seeing all the kids feeding on their milk, suddenly mommy's heart ached. Seeing all those kids sleeping in the group together (some vertically and some horizontally placed their beds), mommy really felt a sense of depress and mommy really can't control to perceive the scene as like "abandoned" kids, wah....it was really heart sickening to see Eeanne as one of them, immediately when Eeanne fell asleep, mommy slipped out of the room. On the way back home, mommy can't hold anymore and shed my tears, how I wish that Eeanne doesn't need to be in daycare. (but all are for her good, to train her to be more discipline, more independent and fully utilize her free time rather than become the potato couch at home)

Then after they wake up from nap, all kids will have their light snack again. Then again it is the free time for all kids. When mommy reach around 5.30pm to observe Eeanne, she was wandering around, no interest on the edu materials and a bit of wasting time.

Then mommy had a talk with the principal, all teachers observe and realize Eeanne likes to read book rather than playing with all the edu materials. And among her class students, most of the kids are more like baby while Eeanne is quite mature and can't find someone she really can interact. Teacher mentioned that she need to mix around with those 5yo class kids but unfortunately those 5 yo kids have many revision to do during the daycare, that is why Eeanne looked so lonely and not happy in daycare.

With all the unhappiness that Eeanne gone through, mommy addressed the pain of shower time where mommy compromise not to have bath in school. Since this agreement made, Eeanne is slowly adapt and feel happier in her school. Luckily all teachers are very understanding and compromise with Eeanne's needs. Now they are able to persuade Eeanne to take her bath in school with all kids at downstair and Eeanne be the last to bath with the door closed...:-) When ask about shower time, Eeanne is absolutely happy with this arrangement now.

About the lunch, it is really has obvious improvement..although Eeanne reluctantly to eat certain food and on her own, now she is more acceptable to all food provided and really eat on her own without the "vomit" sound anymore...hooray!!

How about the nap time?

Eeanne always argued that she didn't want to sleep in the school. So mommy taught Eeanne that maybe she may just close her eye, pretending as sleeping and then do "meditation" by observing her cool breathe in and warm breathe out. Mommy wonder how much Eeanne understand this but after 1 or 2 days, she didn't complaint anymore about the nap time, think she was too exhausted to practise the breathing, once lay down, immediately fell into deep sleep.

Then slowly mommy arranged Eeanne 2 days in daycare and 3 days mommy took half day off to fetch Eeanne back. By 2nd week, Eeanne behaves happier and more willing to accept the school and daycare too, no more complaint, no more crying in the morning and no more crankiness.

Mommy is glad on Eeanne's gradual adaptation. Eeanne just needs more time to adapt to her new environment. The idea of just throwing her into kindy and let her adapt by herself is really unacceptable by mommy. With the effort and time that mommy put in, it is really satisfy now to see Eeanne can be happily going to school and sometimes even say "mommy...I want to go daycare" when mommy told that we are going to have a 10days CNY break..:-/

Kids are really a wonderful unpredictable little tiny creature..:-)
