Family Trip To Universal Studio Singapore! (Part I)

11th July 2011 - Fly to Singapore Changi Airport by AirAsia. This is the first time mommy and Eeanne took AirAsia flight, considered economic and quite comfortable, the only shortage is the non customer friendly environment in the LCCT (there is no toilet inside the boarding place!! and the whole area of LCCT doesnt give the kind of excited holiday mood :-P), of course all these are compensated by the cheap airfare..:-)

Once we reach the Singapore Changi Airport, the whole ambience mood shift, finally we retrieved our holiday mood again. Eeanne was so excited with her first visit to Singapore, looking forward to meet Mr Shrek...

After the long hour from 5a.m. woke till around 12noon (we took our own sweet time at Changi Airport after arrival at 9.30am before heading to Sentosa Island), Eeanne was very tired and snoozed off. haha....thanks for Eeanne snooze that we were able to check in hotel 3 hours earlier than the permitted check-in time:-)
Oh....nice Michael Hotel at Sentosa Island....

Mommy and Eeanne like the shower area the most, because it looks like the Rapunzel Tower with the small window above.:-)

Eeanne was exploring the safe box and in charge of putting in and taking out of our passport....haha

View from our hotel balcony...

After taking about an hour fresh up, we headed to the Silosa Beach...It is really convenience to stay in the Sentosa Island as the connection routes make all the scenic locations so near to each other.

Taking the mono rail to Silosa Beach....

The weather is the main factor which caused us not having the urge to continue exploring the whole island, it was extremely hot and burning, we were only half way along the Silosa Beach and already called for return!!

Silosa Beach...due to the hot weather, we didn't even go further in to the seaside...hehe

Daddy purposely searched for a shedding spot for Eeanne to at least play on the sand..:-)

Ice cream and cold drink are the good sale items here I guess....we had ours to cool down the bodies...

Mommy and Eeanne put on the sun block except daddy putting his SUN TAN!! (cannot believe it)

Merlion...

The Fengshui Path....

Images of Singapore..

At evening time, we went for the Sky Ride....This is Eeanne's first experience riding in the sky. Surprisingly daddy was so scared and singing his favourite song to calm himself down (it is a very funny song..."si si fat...si si fat...", while Eeanne was so brave to comfort daddy...bravo Eeanne!!

See daddy's face....hahaha

Then at night, we took the mono rail heading to the VivoCity to have our dinner. By that time, Eeanne was over exhausted, we had a quick dinner and headed back to hotel to take a early rest for the Universal Studio on the next day....yeh...

HOW? and WHY?

Eeanne is at the HOW & WHY stage now, there are many questions which could really made mommy scratching my head to look for an appropriate answers. Just like yesterday night, there were suddenly many question marks in Eeanne's little innocent brain which seeks for enlightenment...:-)

Eeanne:
- Mommy....why ar....a person can grow taller and taller? (a scientific answer was given)
- Mommy....how can you get a handsome daddy and pretty mommy ar? (eh.....simply plugged an answer and switch topic..:-))
- and how did you get me? (oh...very deep, "Love" explain everything...)
- Mommy....how did I come out from your tummy? (hope Eeanne will not get confuse that cesarean is the only way out for infants..haha)
- Mommy...why there are good boy and naughtier boy? (there is where the education chip in and the values of respectful, resourceful and responsible)

:-) :-) :-) ;-) ;-);-)

Joyful Time In Melaka

It was such a long awaited plan for mommy wanting to be just doing nothing and "than"(relax) in Melaka. All the while, we went back to Melaka for just a one night stay which usually reached on Sat and left on the following night, it was always a rush trip and can't enjoy much. This round, before mommy went back to Melaka, mommy's heart was already flying back, eagerly wish to spend more time with mommy's parents(popo kongkong), and to recall back mommy's childhood time. Think maybe due to aging, recently mommy just feels that the time spent with popo kongkong is really really short, suddenly mommy has the urge of wanting to be popo's little girl and at the same time feels like to provide everything for popo kongkong.

Thus this trip was really a fruitful one. Without daddy accompanying us(due to work), Eeanne, mommy and popo (3 generations) were really had a great time in Melaka. We were there for 5D4N! Each day was spent with full present minded and grateful thought!

Mommy can feel the loneliness of popo kongkong everyday, hoping for mommy and chiu chiu to be back more often. The empty nest feel was never ever came across mommy's mind till today as a mother myself, mommy really understands how much popo kongkong longed for our return.

This trip was really a family eating trip....! We had been eating non stop from breakfast to supper! Mommy initial weight loss of 3kg (due to chicken pox) already taken over by these few days gain of 4kg!!

Looking at this pic, remind mommy of my childhood time in Melaka:-) Eeanne..you really has the mirror reflection of mommy le....of course you are the prettier version...:-)

So as planned, mommy never forgot to ask for popo priceless homemade recipes for cakes and cookies. Among the whole cabinet collection, here are the 2 books of consolidate best considered collection of all the baking tips from popo.

When flipping through page by page, mommy noticed that most of it were copied in year 1995-1999, that was the years when mommy at U in Penang. While browsing each page, mommy can sense the empty nest feel of popo, staying alone at home copying recipe and venturing into her baking experience....Suddenly I truly feel....Mother is Great!!
See the neat writing of popo, mommy has copies a few favourite to try for Eeanne too....

We spent one afternoon where mommy baked the marble cake for all while Eeanne helped in making the jelly.
It taste acceptable but of course can't meet popo's high expectation.
After eating this marble cake, here was popo and kongkong's comment:
"The is the first homemade cake from our daughter after 36 years!!" ^_^

Eeanne was contributing her skill by putting all the mix fruit into the mould....

Besides spending some time visiting Eeanne's great grand parents, mommy never missed out to visit my teenage's favourite spot of Malacca Tzu Chi Center. It has changed a lot with a newly built Tzu Chi Jing-Su Book Cafe. We all love this place!! It is a perfect place for reading and drinks, the ambience is so relaxing and peaceful.
The entrance...

The middle yard....the tranquility atmosphere is really suitable for self meditation (popo was already day dream looking at the sky:))
There are few room facilities for the use of Education, Tea Room, Slide&Video, Activities Room etc.

The inner cafe with drink served at minimum cost for charity....

Variety of chinese book collection from children, life philosophy to vegetarian cooking recipes books.
There are some recycled eco-friendly items such as T-shirts, socks etc sold here too.

This was really mommy's longest stay since started the career in KL. How much mommy wish that we could do this more often for such long stay. On the day before we came back KL, not only popo kongkong were heavy hearted, even Eeanne also asked:
"kongkong, I am going back tomorrow, will you miss me...."

Eeanne, if to take the role of popo, mommy will definitely miss you.....Mommy knows clearly that those days will finally come, here is what mommy's advice to you:
"When you will be chasing your career, to fulfill your monetary responsibility to your parents, we will be just hoping for a more frequent family meal time together"

My Happy Family
