Wednesday (4/3)

Things are getting better today. Eeanne’s fever is under control, no more Paracetamol given. Eeanne no more scared of the staff nurse and even can be very chickily played with the dr. This early morning, Eeanne had another 4oz of milk, so the dr. decided to take off her glucose/sodium chloride drip...hooray!!! Eeanne is free now.....she put on her shoes and walked around the whole hospital and get out from the building to get some fresh air....Mommy can understand how bored she has been going through.

Hey..I'm free now.....hahaha....

It's time to get some fresh air and sun light.....

Eeanne met new "boy" friend from next few doors whom she invited for football kick..

Eeanne starts to gain back her appetite and eat/drink normally today.

Today we realise that Eeanne has become very demanding and easily throwing tantrum, we have been tolerate with her these few days because of her illness which now she takes it for granted and go a bit beyond boundary...Mmmmm...it’s time to hold back & not to pamper her too much lo...

Mmm...bring me the Barney CD...

Part II

Tuesday (3/3)

This was what happened to Eeanne after the 11 hours of crying!!

Today Eeanne’s temperature was still unstable and made the Dr so worry of seizure and recommended another supp. The whole day, she was pampered by mama yeye. Luckily there are mama yeye to help so can release mommy for a short nap.

Eeanne was soothed by her favourite Barney’s and Tom&Jerry with all her toys and books. She is so “manja” until the nurses questioned whether she is the only child....:-/

These has kept Eeanne occupied during the 5days

Today Eeanne finds her new favourite place....Physiotherapy Room. There have so many soft toys and balls for her to play with. So she starts to enjoy her physiotherapy session of percussion.

Eeanne still hasn’t gained back her appetite, so the drip still needs to be on for 24 hours. :-{ But just before she snooze, Eeanne suddenly asked for milk milk and finished 4oz after 3 days of fasting!

That midnight 2.30a.m., Eeanne woke up having a hard stool motion after her 4 days of constipation. Eeanne strained herself hard with crying and managed to help herself without the nurse giving the Dulcolax supp. It must be very very painful....my poor little brave girl.........

Mycoplasma Visit!!

Part I
Eeanne has her high fever again after only 1 week of recovery from the previous 2 weeks illness of fever, cough & cold during the CNY. The symptoms are exactly the same as previous and this round the fever raises even higher and the Paracetamol syrup only last for 3 ½ hours.
Maybe due to the previous experience of Roseala Infantum, mommy doesn’t feel that panic when seeing Eeanne temperature going up and down.

Eeanne’s fever started again on Fri (27/2/09), on the following day midnight, we sent her to Colombia Asia Hospital because Eeanne looked very lethargic and unusually stunned. Upon arrival at the hospital, her temperature was tested at 39.4C! As it was only the 2nd day of the fever, Dr advised to keep monitor her temperature. That night mommy gave Eeanne Diclofenac Supp. 12.5mg on top of Paracetamol syrup. All these medication only last the most 6 hours and the fever still not subsiding till the whole Sunday.

Monday morning, daddy and mommy decided to send Eeanne for a 2nd check, her fever was too high until Eeanne can’t even open her eyes properly. She had not been drinking her milk or eating for 24 hours and must be very dehydrated. While waiting for Eeanne’s turn to see the Dr Cheok at Columbia Asia, Eeanne kept murmuring “see doctor, see doctor” with her 2 eyes half opened.

On the spot, Dr Cheok gave Eeanne another Diclofenac supp. in order to bring down her temperature immediately. Seeing her condition, Dr finally suggested to admitting her!!! Oh...the first thing came across mommy’s mind is the IV drip which mommy herself has phobia on it....

10.30a.m., Mon(2/3) – the trauma started with chest x-ray. The room was so chilled and yet Eeanne had to take out her cloth and forced lying on the reclining bed. Poor Eeanne, she has no idea of what all of us were doing on her, she just yelled and screamed in shock no matter how tight mommy holding her 2 hands. Since then Eeanne was already in the frightened state even though we were already in our bedroom. She just kept crying & crying....The worst thing was yet to come....to insert the cannula into her hands for IV drip! It was tenderly done by the Dr, yet the whole process was really unfriendly and traumatic. Eeanne was forced to be wrapped by the blanket with her right hand exposed, she was trembling, struggling and yelling...this is the first time mommy see Eeanne in such a shock & helpless condition, mommy’s heart really felt pain for Eeanne. Mommy kept holding Eeanne’s head straight to have very close eye contact with her and then started to tell Eeanne her favourite stories of Rapunzel, Cinderalla, Sleeping Beauty..bla bla bla...all in short & quick tone just to distract her from pain. Suddenly Eeanne screamed out “pain pain” when Dr started to prick, her tears shed unstop together with mommy’s tears.

IV Drip

That whole Mon, Eeanne was reluctant to stay in her no. 62 room, she kept saying “go back..go back”.

Eeanne developed the phobia on the nurses’ uniform. Whenever there was one came in, Eeanne started to cry again even before the nurses do anything. Even with the attendant that brought in the food also pose the nightmare for Eeanne.

Dr started Eeanne straight on Zinacef IV tds (need to be on 5 days) and oral Zithromax OD besides her other medication like Rhinathiol, Dyphenhydramine & Paracetamol while waiting for blood test & x-ray result. The Zinacef drip ran at 20ml/H (20cc monojet) which is out of the normal practice of 40ml/H. Besides the antibiotic IV drip, Eeanne had to on 24hours glucose/sodium chloride drip due to her over dehydration, this really made Eeanne immobile.
Finally, x-ray results in a big white patch on Eeanne right top lung and blood test shows a raised of white blood cells up to 17 & positive for Microplasma. Eeanne was diagnosed with PNEUMONIA!!!

That night, mommy was really emotional, this was the first time mommy cried in front of Eeanne since she was born. That night mommy stayed with Eeanne(mommy slept in the hospital with Eeanne for the whole 5nihgts) and daddy left around 12.30a.m. Seriously Eeanne was very long-winded that she can really cried from the moment of the x-ray until she fell asleep at 10p.m.

Happy Valentine's and Happy Birthday......

Yesterday was mommy's happiest Valentine's and birthday after all these years of Valentine's/birthday! Last year Eeanne was only 8m+, only an innocent and obedient baby, this year Eeanne is almost 2 y.o. and really brings lots of amusement and wonders to mommy as she is now more responsive and fun to be.

Daddy's morning Valentine's kiss and Eeanne's wishes of "Happy Birthday" have already make a wonderful day start for mommy. We started the day with Eeanne's Valentine's hair cut at Sunway Pyramid's "A Cut Above". When Eeanne was few months old, we sent her to neighborhood saloon for her hair cut and it was really a disaster for her. Each visit ended up with Eeanne's screaming and crying, maybe she just doesn't like the hair stylist who looks not so friendly to her....Ever since then, po po has become Eeanne's new hair stylist, only po po has the authority to put a hand on Eeanne's hair.

Eeanne's hair is too messy now to wait for po po to come from M'cca, this is daddy's brilliant idea to bring Eeanne to this saloon, daddy is the one that get fascinated by the moo moo ride at the saloon that insisted to let Eeanne experience it. Well...Eeanne really relaxed herself and enjoyed the entire process of her hair cut. Don't believe it? you can tell from the below pic.

After the hair cut, we had our lunch at Canton-I. As usual, Eeanne had made a mess on the table as well as on the floor, before Eeanne has finish her meal, she already started to stack up her plate, bowl and cup. Mommy really can't stop Eeanne from getting mess on herself as she will never like to wear on her bib...

I like this place, hope all these are mine!!!

Eeanne is always picky on her food, yesterday she had the most variety of food for dinner when we were in Shabu Shabu restaurant. Mommy & daddy are very happy to see Eeanne eating so much after the recovery of her illness.

Don't know since when that Eeanne got the hook on photo shooting. Whenever mommy brings out the camera, Eeanne will start to get ready for her pose....this really amaze mommy...

Eeanne is back to active now after 2 weeks of unwell. We really had a great time on this Valentine....

You have fill mommy's birthday with so much good memories.....You are always mommy's valentine!!!

Heart Broken.....

All this while mummy always think everything for Eeanne is trainable at her age, yet now today only mummy and daddy realise that not everything is under our control especiallly Eeanne's emotion......

Eeanne is still not getting well from her fever, cold and wet cough since the last 10 days, her mood is really swinging the whole day. Eeanne gets agitated easily during this one week.

That day was the first time Eeanne throwing her temper to mummy, while mummy was trying to comfort Eeanne, to soothe her from her crying, suddenly Eeanne raised her hand and slapped on mummy by saying "beat mummy"!!!

Mummy get stunned for a while, sad and angry, and really don't know how to react. Eeanne doesn't seems to look guilty on her action, she just kept crying stubbornly.

Suddenly mummy really felt heart broken.....the worry of Eeanne being rebellious storm into mummy's mind. Mummy really wish that this can be put under control and never happen again, but for the next few days, Eeanne was acting the same, easily get agitated and saying the word "beat mummy, beat daddy"...

Oh...no....What can we do now???

Today, daddy and mummy decided to bring Eeanne to Sunday Dhamma school more often, hopefully by this way able to soothe her temper.

Deep inside mummy's heart, mummy keeps telling herself that Eeanne only acted out of her illness of being not feeling well(which is not her usual self that are cheerful and obedient). Unconciously mummy has forgiven and taken in whatever Eeanne had done....I believe that is what all the great mothers out there are doing too.............

2009 January's Events Summary....

Mummy has not been updating this blog for a month since the last blog on New Year Picnic. There were so many progresses happened on Eeanne.

January is the anticipating month for CNY...so many shoppings and preparations done for CNY followed by all the get-together lunches/dinners with friends and family members dragged from 2008 Christmas celebration up to CNY reunions. It was really a fruitful and eventful yet tiring month...

Family Lunch at Tenji Restaurant at Mount Kiara(End of Dec08)

This was Eeanne first buffet meal at Japanese Restaurant, even though Eeanne cannot enjoy all the raw Japanese seafood, she enjoyed the most on the Hagen Daz ice-cream!! This restaurant has a very sceneric outdoor view besides its windy feels. Eeanne had become Weng Tarng suk suk model for his new favourite Nikon Digital Camera.

2009 New Year Steamboat Reunion (5th Jan 09)

Immediate after the celebration of 1st Jan of New Year, Eeanne's ku che(s) came down from Penang and we had another celebration of simple steamboat dinner at home. Of course Chloe, Max and Ian are invited, and Eeanne had a great time playing with her cousins.

Mama YeYe's birthday (10th Jan 09)

Few days after the steamboat dinner, it was mama & yeye's birthday. Everyone decided to have a joyful dinner at home rather than eating-out. Mama can't get her off day on her big day because she needed to be the main chef.

Eeanne's milestone in Jan09

1) finally Eeanne able to count 1 to 10 right to the dot in English and Mandarin without any guidance anymore (great achievement on her 19mth old)

2) Eeanne can sing A-Z but always miss out E, H, N and T. Scored 22/26 alpabets..ye!!

3) After yeye's several story telling session on "Jack and the Bean Stalk" to Eeanne during her afternoon nap, Eeanne had give mummy a big surprise as she knows how to fill in the missing words when mummy read out the story. Here is how it goes: (words in BLUE are filled by Eeanne)

"Long ago, there lived a "widow", she had a son called "Jack". They were very poor and had no money, but they had a only cow. One day, Jack's mother asked him to sell their cow for money. On his way to the market, Jack met an old man, he sold the cow and the old man gave him 5 beans. Jack was very happy. When his mother saw the 5 beans that Jack brought back, she was very angry. And that night Jack went for bed without any dinner."

Eeanne only interested up to here, after that she kept flapping the story book eagerly to see the big giant....

4) Besides the Jack & the bean stalk, Eeanne next favourite story books are Sleeping Beauty which she will always call out "I want Sleeping Beauty" and then asked "where is the witch?" She likes to see the witch in the story book and yet putting her tiny hand on her chest and said "scared". Next are the "The Three Billy Goat Gruff", "The Little Red Hen" and "The Enormous Turnip". I think baby's brain must be like a big sponge keep absorbing whatever they heard. Eeanne able to read most of the story books above after only the most 3 times mummy had read to her.

5) Mummy doesn't realise that kakak has been teaching Eeanne Bahasa Melayu until one day, in the car on the way to mama's house, mummy saw that Eeanne was pointing to her eye when kakak said "mata"!. Eeanne has master well knowing the words "telinga","leher", "mulut", "hidung", "perut", "kaki" and "tangan"!!!

6) After turning on few times on the Dhamma talk CD by Bhante Agacita, Eeanne starts to search for CD by saying "where is Mind your Mind?" whenever she is near to the CD shelf. (Mind your mind is the Dhamma talk title)

New Year Picnic At Lake Garden.....

Mommy and daddy's years of night life New Year Eve celebration has long passed since Eeanne was born. This year we hope for a quiet, peaceful and meaningful New Year celebration.

Guess what....we had a "family"picnic at Lake Garden with yeye, mama, shuk shuk and Chloe's family!! We believe yeye is the happiest among all seeing his 4 grandchildren playing cheerfully in the whole New Year morning....

Mommy had to carry Eeanne into the car while she is still sleeping as early as 8.30a.m. and Eeanne was really know how to take her own sweet dream until the moment we reached Lake Garden. Mommy had a quick fresh up and change for Eeanne before we started our New Year picnic nasi lemak and bee hoon goreng with chicken curry(by kakak).
