Story Behind the Drawing.....

Since mommy get Eeanne this whiteboard, on and off Eeanne will just spent her time doing her own scratching on the board, sometimes it can be alphabet writing, sometimes a drawing(most of the time) and sometimes just few numbers with addition and equation symbols.

Mommy likes to see Eeanne's drawing as it reflects her inner story. And mommy is particularly cautious on the pictures that Eeanne drew and also the colors that she used, luckily till now all her drawing and colors used didn't show any alarming message...:-D. The art of drawing is really a good way to understand our kids better.

This is one of the best drawings that mommy finds it is really meaningful and attractive. Mommy finds that this consists of many Eeanne's happy imagination and creativity. Here is what Eeanne told about her jumble up story details...

"It is a happy Christmas day.....
There is water flowing near the house.....
The house is a long long tower and the little girl is staying in the tower...
The witch is staying at a different tower...
So the lizard went to rescue the little girl....
And there is a rabbit hopping back to its burrow....."

mmm...actually mommy doesn't really catch the flow of the story, as a guess, it is a mixture of the story from The Rapunzel and Alice in the Wonderland...haha..

It is cute to look at this picture and hear Eeanne's story....
Mommy doubts on why lizard and not other animal that comes to rescue....haha...perhaps Eeanne's is good in drawing lizard at this stage of age.....

So sweet.....:))

First exposure to Poster Color

Eeanne likes coloring very much and mommy is considering whether to start back Eeanne on the Da Vinci drawing class. Undoubtfully after the 4 classes in Da Vinci, Eeanne's drawing skill has shows some improvement. Due to Eeanne was too young during that time(just touched 2yo), so mommy thought of stopping the class and let Eeanne do her own home practice, then now think it is time to reconsider whether to resume.

At the initial stage, Eeanne was introduced to crayon, then only slowly expose to color pencils. Mommy always see Eeanne as a impatience toddler but when it comes to drawing, she is really attentive and serious and could really patiently colored the whole picture even though her hands were tired.(Eeanne will shake her hand to relax and then continue her coloring)

Recently mommy has the idea to let Eeanne try on either poster or water color and planning to do a Father's Day card together with Eeanne. So finally mommy bought the poster color.

First mommy prepared the table covered with newspaper to protect it, cut a potato into half to make a face and a star, then get ready the pallette, a cloth and a bottle of water.

To start out the feel on poster color, first mommy gave Eeanne a picture to color, and she likes it!! In fact, Eeanne is more expert than mommy when come to color mix, Mommy only thought of introducing individual color for Eeanne while Eeanne is more creative to mix around the colors and so fascinated by looking on the color change. After the picture coloring, then we started our card creation...

Eeanne's work...Mommy just thought of pink but Eeanne mixed the pink and blue to have the purple for the sea plant, then mix plain brown and black to come out more real rock color!

Eeanne was so intrigued on the color mixing

Am I look like an artist?

Wau...she looks serious....

My first Father's Day card for Daddy....
The flower petals are made from Eeanne's finger pointer while the leaves are from her thumb print
Mommy cut out the color papers for Eeanne to paste as the bodies and Eeanne used the color pencils to draw the lower part of the bodies and legs and hands
The front page: written by Eeanne.
Daddy....are you proud of me???

My great improvement....

Initially mommy thought of stopping the Da Vinci drawing class after Eeanne 2nd lesson. Looking at the artwork after 2 lessons, mommy felt it is too early to enroll Eeanne for drawing: 1) Eeanne can't really sit still for one hour to concentrate on her drawing
2) Her simply scratch and draw is too costly spent looking at her 2 results

Today was the 3rd lesson after a month break (we were not in town during the year end many weekends holidays)
Surprisingly...Eeanne sat still for one hour without going up here and there as usual and she managed to color by herself all through without teacher paying much attention on her as per last 2 lessons. Mommy didn't go near to Eeanne too, sitting aside far doing the observation, mmm....today Eeanne was indeed performing well!!

Sitting aside waiting for that one hour made mommy reminiscing mommy's childhood, looking at mommy's teenage, "bo bo" is the one who always did the waiting for mommy's piano lesson, never ever mommy understand the feels on "bo bo" waiting, but now mommy is taking over "bo bo"'s duty and applying on Eeanne. The feeling is really sweet and never been the same as the impatient "waiting" of even 10 min on any other events..:-) That is the love "bo bo" has on mommy and now mommy feels it on Eeanne...what a loving chain relationship...;-)

Come back to Eeanne's drawing, today even teacher praised on Eeanne's performance, and teacher likes Eeanne's creative artwork too, it shows IMPROVEMENT!!
Oh! oh! shall mommy let Eeanne to continue the drawing class?? :-?
